What makes these bars healthy?

It’s time to get our bake on with these delicious and nutritious Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Pumpkin Spice Bars! Packed with whole grains, fiber, and antioxidants, these bars are the perfect fall snack. But what exactly makes them so healthy? Let’s take a closer look.

The key ingredients in these Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Pumpkin Spice Bars are whole-grain oats, pumpkin, and Bitter-sweet chocolate.

Whole-grain oats are a rich source of fiber. In fact, one cup of oats contains nearly 4 grams of fiber. That’s more than double the amount of fiber found in a cup of rice! Fiber is an important nutrient that helps keep us regular and can even help lower cholesterol levels.

Pumpkins are not just for carving! Pumpkin puree is packed with vitamins and minerals like vitamin A, potassium, and iron. They’re also a good source of fiber, containing 3 grams per cup.

Dark chocolate has received a lot of attention in recent years for its health benefits. Dark chocolate is high in antioxidants and flavonoids, which can help reduce inflammation and improve heart health. They also contain small amounts of caffeine and theobromine, which can improve cognitive function and mood. However, it’s important to choose dark chocolate that is at least 70% cacao to get the most benefit.

So, there you have it! These chocolate chip oatmeal pumpkin spice bars are not only delicious, but they’re also packed with nutrients that are good for you. So go ahead and enjoy one (or two!) guilt-free this fall season. Happy baking!
