Ingredients

Let's gather the ingredients!

Cake

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups light brown sugar packed
  • ¾ cups Dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee freshly brewed
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Chocolate Ganache

  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

Let's Begin!

  • Preheat the oven to 350℉ degrees. Grease a bundt pan with butter and flour. Set aside.
  • In a bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, add the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix on low speed until combined.
  • In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla with a whisk until combined.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the stand mixer on low. Then add the coffee to the mixture until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Pour batter into the bundt pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick poked in the middle comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool completely before adding the ganache.
  • To make the ganache, add the heavy cream and dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second increments.
  • Using a fork, add the chocolate ganache in a zig-zag pattern.
  • Garnish with remaining chocolate chips.
  • Serve and enjoy with family and friends!
