Donuts

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 1 tsp nutmeg ground
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • cup almond milk unsweetened
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup coconut oil melted
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Cinnamon-sugar Coating

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 1 pinch kosher salt

Let's Begin!

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Then grease a donut pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the almond milk, sugar, vegan butter, apple cider vinegar, and vanilla. Pour it into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe into the prepared donut pan.
  • Bake the donuts for 10 minutes or until the edges are golden and the middles are set. Remove the donuts from the pan and let cool slightly on a cooling rack.
  • In a medium bowl combine the sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of kosher salt. Gently toss donuts in cinnamon sugar while still warm.
