Let's gather the ingredients!
- 1½ sticks unsalted butter softened, plus extra for greasing
- 1½ cups bitter-sweet chocolate chopped
- 1¼ cups light brown sugar packed
- 5 medium eggs fresh
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ cups cream cheese
- ½ pounds cherries fresh or frozen then thawed
Let's Begin!
Preheat the oven to 350°F. then prepare an 8x12-inch brownie pan by greasing it with butter and lining it with parchment paper. Set aside.
Combine the butter and chocolate in a bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water and stir continuously until melted, making sure the bowl doesn't touch the water.
Cool, then stir in ¾ cup of sugar. Beat in 3 eggs, one by one, then mix in the flour and set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk the cream cheese with the remaining ½ cup of sugar and 2 eggs, until creamy.
Drop alternate spoonfuls of each mixture into the prepared brownie pan. Using a spoon, swirl them together to create a marbled effect, then scatter the cherries on top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer poked in the middle comes out clean. Place on a wire rack, cover with foil and allow to cool before serving.
Serve and enjoy with family and friends!
