Chocolate Strawberry Cake

A two-layered chocolate strawberry cake covered with chocolate ganache and fresh strawberries is the easiest cake to make!

Ingredients
  

For the Cake:

  • 1 tbsp flax seed ground
  • 3 tbsp water boiling hot
  • 8 oz sugar granulated
  • 3 oz vegetable oil
  • 8 tbsp yogurt
  • 6 tsp whole milk unsweetened
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch kosher salt

Chocolate Ganache:

  • 10 tbsp heavy cream
  • 160 grams chocolate chips or chopped

For filling and topping:

  • 1 cup strawberries fresh
  • 1 sprig mint leaves fresh

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease two cake pans with oil, line their bottoms with parchment paper, and set aside.
  • Combine flaxseed and 3 tbsp water.
  • Using an electric mixer, whip together the flax seeds, and sugar until smooth.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the oil, milk, yogurt, milk, and vanilla extract. Combine well.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Pour the dry aggregate into the moist aggregate in 3 batches, simply till combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  • Share the batter into pans and bake for 25-half-hour or till the toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
  • Remove them from the oven and allow them to cool inside the pan for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, make the chocolate ganache. In a bowl, put chocolate chips.
  • Pour the heavy cream over the chocolate chunks after it has just begun to boil. Wait 2 minutes before stirring until the mixture is completely smooth. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
  • Pour the chocolate ganache on the first cake. Allow for 10 minutes for the ganache to set.
  • Sliced the strawberries and placed them on the chocolate ganache you poured on the first cake.
  • Gently add the second cake on top of the strawberries.
  • Pour the remaining ganache over the top. Wait for 10 minutes before adding the remaining strawberries.
  • On the very top. put a sprig of fresh mint.
  • Serve and enjoy with family and friends!

Notes

If you don't think it's dark enough, add one or two teaspoons more cocoa powder.
 This is the best chocolate cake recipe we've ever tried. If you are not going to add the ganache and strawberry layer in between, you may bake the dough in one round cake tin or a loaf tin instead of two tiny cake tins. If you want to make a one-layer chocolate cake, you may definitely drizzle the ganache over it.
