- ¾ cup dutch processed cocoa powder
- 1½ tbsp espresso powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 bottle Guinness beer 11.2 ounce bottle
- 1½ stick unsalted butter softened
- 4 ounces dark chocolate chopped
- 1½ cups light brown sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Let's Begin!
Preheat the oven to 350°F. then line a 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on 2 of the sides. Spray the parchment with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and kosher salt in a medium bowl until combined.
Slowly pour the Guinness into a medium saucepan, then bring the beer to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until thickened and reduced to 1/3 cup.
Add the butter and whisk constantly until melted, then add the dark chocolate and whisk constantly until melted and smooth.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the sugar until combined. Whisk in the eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until just combined.
Add the flour mixture and stir slowly until fully combined, then pour the mixture into the prepared pan.
bake the batter for 30-35 minutes or until set on top, the brownies have slightly pulled away from the sides and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
Cool the brownies completely, then cut them into 16 pieces.
Serve and enjoy with family and friends!
