Let's gather the ingredients!
- 2⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp pumpkin spice
- ½ tbsp cinnamon ground
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¾ tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup dark brown sugar
- 1 large egg at room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 15-ounce can pumpkin puree
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips
- ¾ cup pecans roughly chopped
Let's Begin!
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line the bottom and sides of a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment, leaving an overhang on all sides. Grease with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugars on medium-high speed until smooth, then beat in the egg and vanilla until combined. Beat in the pumpkin puree.
Reduce the speed to low, and mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans. Be careful not to over-mix.
Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the edges begin to pull away from the sides of the pan and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached. Cool completely in the pan.
Slice, serve, and enjoy with family and friends!
