Let’s Make It Vegan!

Are you a vegan looking to satisfy your sweet tooth? Look no further than homemade vegan funnel cake! That’s right, you can enjoy this classic carnival treat without any animal products.

To make it vegan, simply replace the milk and eggs with plant-based alternatives, such as almond milk and flax eggs. Don’t worry, it still tastes just as delicious!

To start, combine the almond milk, vanilla, and flax eggs in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until smooth.

Next, heat up a pot of oil to 375°F. You can use any type of oil, but we recommend vegetable oil for its neutral taste. Transfer the batter to a squeeze bottle or simply a liquid mixing cup with a spout.

Squeeze the batter into the hot oil in a circular motion, making sure the funnel cake is evenly coated. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

Once done, remove the funnel cake from the oil and place it onto a paper towel to drain any excess oil. Sprinkle with some powdered sugar, and voila – your very own homemade vegan funnel cake!

Not only is this vegan version a cruelty-free option, but it’s also a healthier alternative. Say goodbye to any guilt and hello to a tasty treat that’s sure to satisfy your cravings. Enjoy!
