Ginger-pear cheesecake: Ingredients tips
As I mentioned above this cheesecake is easy to make, yes you read it right! But best of all, this recipe required basic ingredients that will probably be in your pantry. Below are the following ingredients.
1. Butter: It helps not to stick together the batter.
2. Gingersnaps: You can use both homemade or store-bought.
3. Pears: It’s either fresh or frozen; if frozen let them thaw first. Any kind of pears will work in this recipe.
4. Cream cheese & sour cream: Adds creaminess and flavor to the recipe/
5. Ground ginger: A spice we must have during this fall season.
6. Egg: I highly suggest at room temperature eggs.
7. Granulated sugar: To add a sweet flavor.
8. Vanilla extract: It adds aromatic flavor, so don’t skip this.
As a baker, I always have them in my pantry and in addition, if I want to make this vegan, I’ll buy some plant-based ingredients that can be substituted for the other ingredients. I am your friend, I will also let you what are.
Vegan substitution-optional!
- Butter: Look for a dairy-free, or homemade.
- Eggs: I highly recommend using flax seeds as they are easy to find.
- Granulated sugar: use raw sugar rather than refined sugar.
- Cream cheese & sour cream: It’s either homemade or store-bought; if store-bought make sure they are dairy and completely organic.
If you are a vegan and want to bake, feel to substitute these vegan substitutions I have mentioned.
